After-School Program
Our program is open to any child or family, provided the child meets age specifications. No child will be discriminated against because of race, gender, color, national origin, religion, or handicap. The YMCA reserves the right to refuse services if a child is excessively disruptive, violent, has behavioral problems, strikes out at the staff, or consistently fails to obey the rules or the request of the staff.
Transportation: For evening pickup of youth, we require five students from each of the locations of pickup to attend the YMCA ASP. If we do not meet the five required students, the school location will not be be a pickup point.
Drop off/Pick up will be at 410 W 2nd St. Before School Program students will need to be dropped off by 7:15am at the front desk. After School programs students will need to be signed out at the front desk by 5:45pm. Please remember that we will only release your child to you or to those listed as your emergency contacts. If a person picking up your child is not known to us (but is listed as an emergency contact), we will ask to see a picture I.D. prior to releasing your child.
The YMCA participates in the USDA food program, and follows the standards set within it. If you would like more information on the program in Kansas, please visit http://www.kn-eat.org. An After-school meal will be provided for the youth upon their arrival from their school. Please ask for the meal modification form at the time of registration. If your child has any special needs or allergies of any type, please make sure that is is documented in your registration packet and the YMCA staff is informed.
